Auzelle Epeneter is a poet based in Los Angeles. She is currently developing her first book, a collection of poems initially inspired by a line of ancestors who came to the United States from Western Norway. It has expanded to become a semi-fictional exploration of ideas related to belonging; darkness, family, and the natural world; distance and endurance; landscapes and edges; methods of joy; and spiritual connections across time.
Auzelle’s work has been supported through residencies at Atelier Austmarka (Austmarka, Norway), Dorland Arts Colony (Temecula, California), Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (Trondheim, Norway), the Trillium Project (Oregon State University), USF Verftet (Bergen, Norway), and the Wellstone Center in the Redwoods (Soquel, California).
Auzelle also writes a Substack about creative research and poetic process: Thriller House.
